Pacemakers and magnetos

Post by Jem » Sat Apr 27, 2019 10:47 am

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before. My cardiologist says I need a pacemaker. I've read warnings about the EMF from electric welders affecting pacemakers (do I have to sell my TIG?) but does a T magneto generate a strong enough field to affect one?

My experience has been that Drs understandably, don't know a thing about T's and will tend to err on the side of caution. I have seen one car sold because of uninformed unnecessary caution...sad. This will tell you pretty much everything you need to know...
