How can we recognize a 1917-1922 frame ?

From 1919/22 will have holes for the battery carrier.

First, it would have the forged running board brackets with the rods running between them (until '21). '19 and later would have holes for a starter switch. Previous to '19 it would be much the same as the '15 frame. It would have 2 holes each side of the frame top for the firewall (dash) brackets as well as two holes in the side of the frame for the latter firewall brackets. The top holes were eliminated but I'm not sure when. (edited)

On our Canadian sourced cars, the pressed steel running board supports were introduced on the 1922 models, superseding the forged type used earlier.
