Hello,

Hopefully someone can best advise me what to do or what is wrong...

I have a 1922 Center Door and my rear-most windows do not roll down. The hardward is missing; the bottom window trim does not have a cutout for the strap, and the glass is fixed in position. Can anyone advise where to get the parts to make the rear windows operationsl?

Thanks,

Don' t know where you can find what you need but this is what my original unrestored '22 Centerdoor looks like. The other windows have the latching track set up. The little gadget on the sill is an after market anti rattling device which works well.

The rear windows on a Centerdoor are lift strap operated regardless of year. The glass sits in a metal channel that has a lip that catches on another lip on the inside. You lift the glass and pull it gently towards the inside of the car and it slides down. There should be a window garnish inside with a slit in it to allow positioning of the strap.

Here is what the window frame looks like. Almost as if someone decided to modify the windows so they would be fixed glass versus functional.
