Does anybody produce a gasket for the Frontenac valve cover? Or, is there a need for one. I don't have my car yet but it has a Frontenac head.

Never located one commercially produced - I've always cut out my own from 1/4" cork sheet.

I cut mine from cork, works fine. I use sealer between head and gasket but leave the top clean so I can easily remove the cover for oiling. The edge of the cover is "as cast" and only slightly smoothed so excess oil can seep a little bit if you put too much oil on the felt but easy to wipe off and it's never worried me.

In days gone, my BMC minis, Morris minors etc use cork gaskets too, under a pressed metal cover. Any time the cover was removed, it generally meant a new gasket was needed on refit. I cut one from neoprene sheet of the same thickness, glued it to the cover, and never had to replace it again.
