Magneto Headlights
Do you think having the focus screw at twelve o'clock has anything to do with the fact the headlights are magneto, or just a coincidence?

I would go with just coincidence because you could get cars with mag powered lights up to 1926.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

From what I understand having the focus screw at 12 o clock is the way to identify 1915 headlights. The later headlights have the focus screw at the side of the connection.
I own a 1936 Packard convertible sedan, a 1916 Model T coupelet, and a 2007 Mercedes Benz SL550 roadster.

Ford provided 7 different styles head lamps for the T, and different mfg. too.
So the 12 O'clock adj. screw location was used on the early electric in 1915, but then can be found on headlamp buckets up to 1920 or so depending on the style of headlamp.

Of note, all the 12 O'clock buckets do have the first style post fitting, the straight edge type.
This lamp is the T-6511-CX which is the 'two bulb' style used 1919-1920 and it has the 12 O'clock adjustment screw.
The small grommet hole under the larger socket is for the dim bulb wiring, which is separate from the bright beam wire, the special reflector has two holes and the dim bulb is 2 c.p.
