I checked Langs, and Chaffins catalogs. Only Snyder furnishes the drive rivets to attach the data plates. How come? I'm trying to help a friend with a Ruckstell. He must buy a package of 100 from McMaster Carr, when our suppliers should be doing the job!

when you put the plate on, do it while it is apart. seal the rivets with some silicone - the rivet's in my Ruckstell leak

So why doesn't he buy them from Snyder?

Larry,
Try Restoration Supply Company, out of Escondido CA.
They have them each. You should be able to find their catalog online.
They have always been great to work with, and carry a lot of items other vendors don't.
Good Luck,
Kevin

Just found their web: www. Restorationstuff.com

If you have a rivet to use as comparison go to a hardware store such as Ace and others to see if they have rivets that would be correct.

Snyder’s sells the Ruxtell data plate with rivets included for $4.95 plus shipping.

I got a call from Dave at Chaffins, and he informed me they now carry the rivets. I also understand, the rivet heads need to be turned down to match the appearance of the originals. When I installed mine, I put Permatex on each rivet before installation.
