I love getting new to me parTs in the mail
I received these NOS rear spring shackles today. Found on T-bay 70$ to my door. Not bad! What have you purchased for your Model T lately?

I’ve had a few sets of nos shackles over the years that required an oversize reamer thru the bushings to install. About .010” oversize if I remember correctly.

Today I ordered new leather for my 1916 hood. Tomorrow I'll stop at the saddle shop and pick it up.

one is 1914/15, a 1915 (longer cylinder than the others, rest, yellow dot, are original not repros. One horn button complete All work!

Thanks for the tip! I will be measuring. Iam wondering if vendors sell bushings for NOS shackles?

The vendors won’t have oversize bushings. Measure yours first or try them in a new bushing. The ones I have had that were oversize were definitely “non standard”. I suspect that is how some of them have lasted all these years in unused condition. If yours are oversize, you can get a reamer to ream the new bushings after you install them. If you shop around, a reamer should be around $20 or less online.

I like ebay because good NOS parts show up all the time. I would never think of using anything other than a good used or NOS shackle for any of my cars. I also use brass bushings. In the past mild steel bushings were used, but there is no need to do that anymore.

Brass and bronze aren’t the same thing.

I bet you mean bronze.

I do have some bronze bar stock. Might have to fire up the atlas.

Bronze bushings to suit can be bought off the shelf form suppliers. They are excellent candidates for custom reaming to size.

this fell off the mail truck recently. Large oil funnel tube. Note to self: don’t forget to install before the flywheel

Bryant add an extra note to self. Check funnel attachment to tube. Bronze joint if it appears compromised/poorly attached.
