Does anyone have a pic showing the location of the “HS” stamp on top of the worm drive case? Id like to know what to look for.

TT’s weren’t marked. Some Model A housings were. It’s pretty rare to find high gears in anything but Ruckstells.

Mike, Ruckstells are more "likely" to have high gear sets in them, but not always. I also have found them in standard rear ends (found two so far in five rear ends). What I do if I am at an auction or inspecting one, is I will turn the input shaft and count the turns to see what type it is.

Mike, as I read that entry dated Jul 8, that is what the Chicago Branch was doing, not Ford production.

always have wanted to know if the Model AA high speed gears could be used in a TT. Is any of these parts interchangeable?

I’ve found a few sets in early AA axles. As long as it’s still worm drive, they’re interchangeable. You can also just pull the back square cover off. With the worm gear bearing out, count the teeth. 6 teeth is high speed, 4 is low speed.

I have found that they ARE NOT interchangeable. The couple of AA ring gears I've had were .200” wider than the TT ring gears and didn’t fit properly in the TT housings (they rubbed/locked up). The AA worm gears also were splined different on the front & didn’t match the TT drive shaft. I am wondering if the very early AA had carryover TT gears for a little while, but then were soon re-designed to make stronger? It’s not uncommon to see TT ring gears cracked open between teeth (likely from over-loading).
