Regarding period accessories, I find the items neat, the graphics neater, and the claims to be (usually) wildly over-stated (particularly when fuel/mileage related)!

That’s a neat find! The chanches of finding a NOS like this one is almost impossible.
I would bet when these were installed they didn’t stay on long or if by chance finding a used one they were pretty much used up.
Probably wasn’t a popular item. I have seen more than a few accessories over the years but thanks to the forum a rare one comes to light. Always learning something about Model T’s!

Nice find! Those spring oilers took many forms, but generally did a good job of keeping the leaves lubricated. I do take exception to one of the package claims though......"Takes place of the shock absorber" ??????

Guess the concept of shock absorber was different back then. A spring that moved and absorbed the shocks from the road was doing it's job, one that was rusted into a solid mass of unlubricated iron, not so much!

I posted a NOS set of these in the original box back in 2011 under ACCESSORY OF THE DAY.

Would that be the same company that made the crankshaft counter weights?

No. The counterweights were from Clarinda, OH. I thought the same thing.

I think I'll put new wicks in a set and put them on my 27 Roadster when I get it put back together.

And it's from MPLS/St Paul. Cool.
Hope it works.
