California Dreamin Tour Big Thanks

Post by KirkieP » Sat May 04, 2019 12:05 am

I want to thank Dave Seiler and all the OC members for putting on a cowabunga tour!
The food was very very delicious and the weather was what California is famous for:
Sunny
Thank you

And, I want to thank all these Orange County guys too. This was a wonderful tour with a lot of unexpected treats. I especially liked the progressive road sighs that they put out along our route. You guys are the best.

Just got back home from an amazing tour. I must admit I started out with some trepidation but apparently our car wasn't worried one little bit. I put on more miles this week than I have in the last 40 years and it felt great. Beautiful scenery, great people, fine food, very accommodating hotel and a fantastic agenda. I feel fully confident to roll right into Steve's Marin County tour now that I'm back in the saddle once again and, following Karen's first real Model T journey, she's ready to go too. The roads we traveled were some of the best and like Kirk said, the weather was perfect. We're so glad we made the commitment to this event organized by Orange County MTFC. What a great group! Our thanks to Dave, the other attendees and the whole OC gang for all of your warm hospitality and some great pictures too.

By the way, this post is another first! Getting back in the groove.

Al, We are so glad you enjoyed the tour! I know the weather started off a bit cold and misty but the sun came out and it was great T weather. Make sure to check out my other post. Not often you get to race the T's around down on the Beach with the blue Pacific lapping at your wheels!
Man, I wish I could join you and Karen on the Golden Gate tour up there on Marin..

Thank you! Very good tour and good Model T roads. Much interesting scenery and very good hospitality gifts etc. I needed a new gas stick, and was wondering where I could get one. Now I don't need one anymore. Many door prizes and very good food provided at picnic and banquets.

It was a great tour, I especially loved the two trips to the Pacific Ocean. The OC club did a great job on organization and the meals were delicious. They even arranged for the water falls to have water .....

Excuse the incorrect orientation, I’m doing this on the cell phone and don’t have any editing capability, that I know about😊

Try the winery again. It was the Fess Parker winery and he certainly knew how to impress.

It’s strange but I used the same pictures and this time the orientation was correct. All I did was rotate the picture 90 degrees four times and now they come correct??? Computers, hate them but can’t live without them😊😊

Yeah I really did make all three tours.
2005, 2912 & 2019
2005, 2912 & 2019
I used the 1917 Touring in 2005, it’s now in England, the trusty 1924 Coupe in 2012 and Carolyn’s 1914 Touring this year.
The medal at the front is the coin from the 1996 London to Brighton Run, which I did in the 1901 CDO which is now in an aircraft museum at Eagles Lake in Pa.
I wonder if I’ll be around in 2025?

It was a very good tour and well planned. The roads were perfect for Model T's and the scenery great. More wild flowers visible than usual because of the rains this winter and early spring. The food was excellent and many prizes were given. Good people to tour with and very helpful. Most of the cars ran fine. I know of 3 which had problems. One was a Chevrolet and two were T's.
Thank you for a wonderful tour.
