I have been working on my Kingston L4 today. The kit from Langs came with this felt plug. No instructions were included. I have looked through every source I can find but have not found any mention. It is showing as included in the kit photo on their website. Any ideas?

There is an elbow at the intake. The coupling is slid on the fuel line then the felt and pressed into the elbow. Tightened up. I don't use that piece. I take a small piece of neoprene tubing cut the same size. The neoprene can be used over and over.

Actually Norm, I think that felt piece is slipped over the fuel line after the hex fuel line nut and not “pressed into the elbow”. As the hex fuel line nut is tightened onto the elbow, that felt piece becomes more and more compressed and supposedly prevents fuel leak after nut is fully tightened...YMMV

It is inside the hex part and when tightened, the end will go in about 1/4 inch into the elbow.
