Who's that in the photo?
I thought I'd start a new thread showing photos of members. We've lost a few and added a few and it would be nice to see who we're communicating with. I'll start the ball rolling

if you post a photo do so with some background next to something, not a close up. Reason your photo can be used by a hacker to mascaraed as you

Re/ horseless carriage, I found it amazing that our horses, long accustomed to cars, trucks of all sizes, farm machinery etc., etc. came totally unglued and ran like the devil was after them the first time they saw Lizzie in action ! Go figure ? Liz only frightened them once though.

Timmons was the Inspiration for “ FreighTer “.
The capital T in “ FreighTer “serves both
as Homage to him and The Model T.

Re: Who's that in the photo?
This is a picture of Barb and I. I'm the vertically challenged one.
This was taken at a stage show I was hired to portray Little Jimmy Dickens on.
I've been an entertainer since I was (I want to say 'little',..but I'll say) young.
Here's the modification to our Model T so I don't need a pillow at my back or a
New York phone book under my backside. Rubber pedal pads were added.
And yes,...I can see over the steering wheel (barely).

Here I am in front of my 1912 Roadster that I am working on. (Yes, I always have that worried look on my face when I am working on the 12.)

Re: Who's that in the photo?
The black and white photo is from 1964 and our Grandpa Julius is supervising as his grandsons gain
some hands on experience building a playhouse. (That's me crouching down.)
Notice Grandpa's Model TT in the background. By that time it had already been in the grove for years
and was missing the wood cab and other parts. As kids we spent many hours sitting on the gas tank,
working the levers and pedals, and pretending to drive that truck. It was also fun to take wrenches
out to it and attempt to unbolt whatever would loosen up. Years later I put the TT back together.
No doubt it was the old truck that got me interested in T's at an early age!

Re: Who's that in the photo?
Me flying my other mechanical obsession. Now you know why I go by Oldav8tor. I've been flying since 1973, into Model T's only since 2018 ---- Believe it or not, the plane's empty weight is almost 500 lbs less than my Model T. Mechanically it is far simpler than the T if such a thing is possible. I restored the plane from a basket case over a period of five years back in the '80s. It's a youngster, only 77 years old compared to my 106 year old Model T.

Might as well get on the bandwagon. This is a picture of me and my late wife Anja at the Model T Centennial in Richmond in 2008.
