Bottom of second post, looks like someone put a tall radiator and hood on an early coupe. Maybe they fitted a bracket to the firewall??

The sixth picture with the tent.
In 1926 my grandfather drove from Los Angeles to Plymouth Rock and up into Canada and back. They took a tent and camped wherever they happened to arrive for the night. Broke a crankshaft on the way and got towed into a Ford dealer where they replaced it overnight. Might have done an engine exchange? I have his tent and we used to use it for camping all over the west coast when I was younger. I don't think I could even sleep in a tent now!
