KR Wilson Model T Era Tool Cabinet on eBay

Post by TrentB » Sat May 27, 2023 8:11 pm

This is one of the most difficult KR Wilson Model T tools to find.

In my opinion, it is one of most desirable KR Wilson to own. It holds all of the components of the KRW combination machine (except for the machine itself), and has slots for all of the KRW transmission jig reamers. In addition it has hangers for almost all of the Ford Z tools. It also has hangers/keepers for the numerous other tools KRW supplied with the cabinet, including Slocomb micrometers, Starrett punches, and Browne & Sharpe machinist square.

Trent, I figured you would be all over this ...? You are right about desirable. I have only seen one other cabinet for sale in over 40 years of buying T tools.

$100 and zero bids? Damn, I'm on the wrong side of the pond, or I would be all over this.

The seller ended the auction early. I contacted him to see if it was still for sale The seller said he was selling for his dad. His dad wanted to add the tools that were in the cabinet that they had removed and then re list it. I was in the process of seeing if a friend of mine who lives close to where the item is would pick it up and bring it to Arkansas in January when they do their "snow bird trip" to their winter home a couple miles from us. There were not many tools in the cabinet. Just a few z-tools is all I saw. I hope they re-list it . Shipping or transport is usually the killer of things like this that are for sale.
