What should the nuts be torqued to on the fellows?

Just snug up firmly each demountable rim hex nut, tighten each little at a time, so no rim distortion. Too tight can bend rim clamps. Use only 8” length handle on socket wrench or Ford tool, the plug/head bolt wrench, fits lug nuts.

Also, it is not necessary to tighten until the rim ears touch the felloe. Although, this may happen if someone in the past overtightened the rims enough to distort them or if the tapered flange on the backside of the felloe has been bent flat from past overtightening or riding without a rim attached.

Important thing to tighten them evenly. First the felloe on the wheel should be straight so the wheel spins true. Then when you tighten the rim down, do it evenly so that there is minimum wobble. I like to tighten diagonally in one direction and then diagonally in the opposite direction to keep everything straight.
