Has anyone used the wireless LED bicycle turn signals available form Amazon for around $60? They are rechargeable, said to be bright and easy to install (on a bicycle). If adaptable to a Model T without drilling holes, running wire etc. this could be an ideal safe solution to driving in traffic.

I haven't tried them, but...

3 questions occur;

(1) Would the metal car body interfere with them working?
(2) Would the Model T ignition system interfere with them?
(3) Would they be road-legal when used on an autombile?

I have a non-T car I would like to have turn signals on.

I have a set on my '26. They work well. I wish they made a set that would work for front and back signals.

This topic came up Saturday during our monthly tour. One guy had such a set on his touring. (amazon around $60)
Wireless with the controller mounted on the steering wheel.
There are 4 separate units, 2 front, 2 back. They worked fine. He did mention the controller & lights need to be more or less line of sight.
They wont transmit thru a heavy car body & didnt work on his model A. The light units looked to be about 2" square. Lit up to arrows.
Looking on google, I find direct from china $30 to $66 from amazon.

I use them on my roadster. I bought rare earth magnets and glued them to the signals. They work great and it allows my wife and daughter feel better when I take my granddaughter for a ride. They make me feel safer because many of todays drivers take a left turn hand signal as an invitation to pass me instead the correct meaning.
I find that they last for a few trips but don’t hold a charge if I leave them unused for a week or so. They come with a charger that does all 4 at once, but not the controller, it needs a separate cable to charge.

I have been using those wireless signals for months now. They work great!
I also added strong magnets to the back of the signals and dremeled off the protruding plastic square on the back. I added duct tape to the magnet to prevent scratching.
I did the same to the controller and stick it on the firewall in front of the steering wheel.
The signals work well but need to be charged periodically.

These look great. I was going to go with the standard wired kit from Lang's but these totally are interesting. I will do a bit of research on other similar options. Thank you for sharing. BTW is anyone having a problem seeing pictures in this thread. Mine are now not automatically showing. I have to click on 'jump to post' to see if a picture is attached. Very odd. I did check my account settings and all is in order@

THX. I have tried it on two diff computers and 2 diff browsers. I only get pics in any thread if I revert to post. OTherwise I don't see them. VERY STRANGE. I am trying to figure out if it is something in the search function. THX

Just to follow up. I have purchased a set of these and after initial charging I am impressed, and at only $60!! I will be attaching strong magnets to the back of the lights and attaching the controller to the steering wheel spider with the included mount. I can experiment with the light locations to achieve the best visibility. Now, if they last more than a year I'll consider it a WIN!!!

Here are some pictures of how I mounted the bicycle lights on my 1926 Roadster. The front and rear wedges are 3-D printed with a curve to fit the fenders. They have recesses for the six magnets, three to attach to the fender and three to attach the light to the wedge. I will be attaching cloth to the wedge to keep it from scratching the body.

I just ordered a set also. Will give it a shot!!! Worst being I go with the wired Lang's version! Thanks for the referral guys!

Robert, They look great. Will do the Steering mounting like you did. Will look for magnets!

I bought a set of wireless bicycle turn signals to try on my 1912 Flanders. I made some mounts on magnets to hold them to the rear fenders.

They worked as advertised, but in my opinion I don't think they are really bright enough to be of much use in the daytime.

Just wanted to show a wired version I made up for my ‘23 Touring. I made a bracket that uses the bolt on the steering mount and screw that holds the lower left corner of the instrument cluster so no modifications.

The blinker unit is on Amazon for around $8 for two, the signal indicators and switch off Amazon as well.

For lights I found some glass turn lights at a flee market. Makes a nice wired kit and plenty bright and runs off electrical system so no battery worries.

I bought a similar set on eBay (search "wireless turn signals") and they work fine. You just have to remember to shut it off after you finish the turn.

Please keep mind, the switch indicator will flash but that’s no guarantee your lights are flashing. They have separate batteries.

I will look at McMasters. Not every magnet will hold the unit to the car while it is on the road or bouncing around. Thank you. Will do my best to replicate the 'wedges' or a facsimile thereof. I have a 26 coupe. I did buy the blinkers and love the set. Looking forward to putting it to good use. Not exactly 'period correct' LOL, but this is about safety.

I bought the turn signal set also. One of the men on this thread recommended a McMaster item. Will try to obtain those as the one I tried was not strong enough to hold it firm - meaning vibrations would likely throw it off the fenders. Thank you for your details.

Would you share the 3d files? I have a 26/Roadster Pickup and would like to look at this setup as a possibility.
