Found a salesmans book today that my dad gave me years ago. It was put out by Oldsmobile in 1930. They would not list how features on their car compared with Ford by items or price. They have comparisons to lots of other 1930 automobiles. There are some pages typed in with makes, years and prices of used vehicles at a couple of their Olds dealerships. The used Fordsare all priced less than other cars. It is interesting to see the new prices.

What is the name of this book? I'd interested in doing some research on prices of that time. Perhaps I could use it for one of my economics or other subjects assignments

I can't help with the Olds book, but my son found 4 Clymer books at a yard sale up north, which he bought for $1. One of them is a reprint of the 1926 Model T sales manual. Well worth searching for one if you're interested in that sort of thing. It has pricing, and how to lay out financing, etc.

Friend bought this by a while back. His dad got it out of a Ford dealership in the 50s.

It is important to remember that in the early 1930s, the automobile industry was going through various changes, and comparing prices and features of different brands was important for potential buyers. I'd like to read it. I recently read about books at social media, you can
get more information here. In general, lately I have become interested in history. I study everything I have at hand.
Sounds interesting! Published by Oldsmobile in 1930, this book provides a unique historical perspective on the automobile industry of that time.
