Help identify a car

Hello,
I was driving near Purdue University in Indiana and found myself behind a very old car that I am not sure what it is. I could see that it is Right Hand Drive and had white tires and a lot of brass. I don't have any side or front pictures because I did not want to scare him by passing him and then stopping in front of him to take pictures. Can anyone identify the car by this picture alone?

Looks like a Maxwell. Maybe 1905ish?

I was guessing it might be a 1908 when I was driving behind it. I could tell he did not have much power because he was struggling on hills. I don't know much about Maxwell cars, but it almost sounded like a two cylinder engine when it was working hard. Has anyone else seen one of these?
