Confused about TT Ruckstell Gear Ratios

I am in the early stages of taking apart a TT Ruckstell. With a Ford puller and a bit of coaxing I got the hubs off. Still has the driveshaft and radius rods. I can turn about 8 revolutions of the U-joint to get 1 revolution of the axle. The Chaffin Ruckstell Axle book lists various gear ratios but I am thinking that is ratio of the crankshaft to axle shaft, not the U-joint. So my question, what does an 8-1 ratio of U-joint to axle mean with regards to if this is a low speed 7/1 or a high speed 5/1 TT Ruckstell?

You have a 7.16:1 TT gear set

Jeff, you might be able to confirm the 7.11 gear set by looking at the centre boss on the square cover at the back end of the driveshaft. Most of our Canadian sourced TT's are stamped with a 5 or a 7 to indicate the ratio.

Jeff, the spider gears double the reduction, if one wheel is held stationary. Hold one axle from rotating, then count how many turns of the ujoint it takes to make the other axle shaft make TWO revolutions.

Allen,
Looked for a stamping on the driveshaft, couldn't find one.

Ed,
I secured one wheel hub and rotated the driveshaft. I got about 8 1/4 revolutions of the driveshaft to get 2 revolutions of the axle shaft.

I do not know if I am in Ruckstell high or low and didn't want to try to force the shifter lever to experiment. I guess once I have time to take it apart in a few weeks I can count the number of teeth on the worm and I will know for sure what I have. If 8.25/2 means anything let me know.
