1918 engine

Are engines without generator or starter castings worth less than later engines? It is an unrestored one that may have been used with farm equipment so I don't really know condition other than it is too heavy for a boat anchor but turns over nicely.

In my opinion and experience at my end of the world, veteran blocks are worth more.

Agreed. The scarcity of earlier engines makes them worth more.
How much more? I don't know.

Pre-19 blocks are worth more as they are fewer, and (hate to say it) can be adulterated into being an earlier block (yes, I've seen this).
