Placed an order over the phone for parts at 2:00pm on Wednesday. Verified it was all in stock. Nice to talk to a live, English speaking order taker that clarified a part number. Received the package in less than 24 hours, from OH to KY, regular shipping not expedited. I realize that it's only one state away, but they pretty amazing to me.

Tom .... I wholeheartedly agree with your satisfaction. Even though I do call several vendors, Gaslight is very responsive, more so than others, returning contact info by phone, e-mail, or message if there would be a delay with shipping . Some vendors may put this, my post, on their "watch lists" , but USPS will deliver as fast as possible despite vendor delays. Bob J.

Good to hear about the good service. These folks seem to have the right kind of priorities and they probably are not new to old cars and parts. I’m not saying our other vendors aren’t and not implying it.
There are some good folks still out there that we can really talk to and know what they are doing.

Nick even brings me the parts to local airport, can get a piece of pie and T Parts, takes me 22 minutes to fly there, good excuse to fly !

Tom, I wonder where they got an English speaking worker, Are you sure you weren't speaking to an American? It's easy to tell the difference if you ask them about soldering. The American will tell you it's soddering. Even spell check knows that is not right.

And no one should assume that the Aussie's speak the same English that the New Zealander's speak.

It is like the difference between German and French. We frequently need a translator when they get on a zoom call.

We have T-models so we all also get odder with age.
And the older we get, the better we were!

Except for maybe Mac's, not aware of any T parts supplier that does not speak "American" English here in the USA when you call them.
Glad you got good service from a maybe little used parts supplier.
If you go to MTFCA home page, there are a lot of other suppliers then the big 2 or 3. That's why when someone says they can't find X and only use 2 maybe 3 suppliers, you got to ask the question, did you check the others?

Some regional dialects are easier to understand than others. I speak "California" English. We have had some members from England and Australia who I have had no problem understanding except for some terms such as "Dual Carriageway". But when I went to London, I could hardly understand what people were saying. I can under the Royal Family, but we had a bus driver who was from Scotland and I could understand him better than the local people. I went to Germany, and I could understand most of the written language, but the spoken language is very strange to me.
Anyway, I can understand "California" English and many with Spanish accents here also speak English and I can understand them.
In the old days, I'm writing the 1930s and 1940's when I grew up, My Uncle was married to a Mexican lady and even though she spoke Spanish with her sisters and brothers, and her mother didn't speak English at all. They didn't teach their children to speak Spanish. They only learned it when they got to High School. My mother's family came from Finland. They spoke Finish to each other, but none taught it to their children, including me. My grandmother was from Canada and although she spoke English which I could understand, she had some words which most of us would need a dictionary to find out the meaning. And some words had a different pronunciation, But even in our country, some regions have strange pronunciations. In Boston the letter R is silent, however they add an R to the pronunciation of words such as Washington! And in the south, Y'all could mean one or more persons!
It's a different world now. In this area, they even have Spanish speaking schools!
Anyway, I hope you understand what I mean by finding someone who speaks English! It all depends on your trained ear!

Glad the post wasnt about Gaslight going out of business.
Got worried when i read the title of the thread.

Gaslight is very active in supporting swap meets. As an example, they will be at the Shepardsville, KY Model A and T swap meet in January 2024. This is a one day meet only, they are there every year with a wide selection of parts. If ordered in advance, they will bring your parts to the swap meet, thus saving shipping cost! Just another example of their great service!
And I too, spread business to the other great vendors to make certain everyone gets a little piece of business from me! We need them all!
