Victor Junior 2 headlight rim question

Hi friends,
I am a fairly new convert to the Model T disease although I have wanted one for years. I have a pretty original 1914 model touring car that I won't restore but keep as original as possible. Today I noticed one of the headlight rims is magnetic and appears to be mild steel that has been brass plated. It looks very old but I am thinking it would have to be a reproduction? Any thoughts or info much appreciated.
