Would someone please be able to provide me with either a number or dimensions for the T-5020 flat-bottomed Woodruff key for the starter drive and generator pinion gear. I know that I have it written down somewhere, but I can not find it. I know that I can get them from the vendors, but I will not be placing an order anytime soon and I am in need of one and would like to pick one up locally, rather than place an order for 1 Woodruff key. Thank you again for any and all help, it is appreciated.

The starter bendix keys with which I am familiar have the standard round bottom key. If you take a spare starter when you go to your local shop they could find one to fit.

Woodruff keys can confoundingly look alike, but be very different. It's been quite often that I've disassembled something and found the wrong woodruff key had been used. The last time was in a T steering column. The key in the pitman arm was installed upside down, because when installed the right way, it dropped into the keyway so far that it wouldn't engage with the pitman arm. It's good that you're asking for the exact number for the key you need.

Tractor Supply has that very same size key in stock.
