Another use for reverse gear bushes.

Previously I have used sections of a reverse gear bush to rebuild brass truss rod mountings where the spring leaf hanging from worn shackles wears a groove in the mounting bracket.
Today I used another piece of the same bush to repair a broken bottom radiator outlet
The piece was shaped and silver soldered in place.
I used to put them in the scrap bin but glad this one hadn't made it.

That's really neat Bob. Are there laws governing the height or rear lamps in Washington? Here I could mount those to the top support arms to act as eye level brake lights. I love the red tourer. My 15 tourer was also red, a little more maroon than yours.

I am not aware of any laws concerning tail light height.
The reason that I extended the light below the top cradle
was to make the light visible when the top is folded down.
