Schroeder valve stems.

Past posts have lamented the lack of decent reproduction bridge washers, there being a lack of raised ridge around the hole to more securely crush the tube.
I removed these two assemblies from junk tubes from the barn fresh car I am working on. These are the two Schraeder bridge waters from those stems. The one on the left is Canadian, the other from Great Britain. Note the British one has no pressed in Ridge. Both these old tubes had fabric reinforcements in the rubber around the stems. Perhaps this allowed greater pressure to be applied by the stem nut.
Either way their are genuine Schraeder bridge washers like the reproductions available.
