🛞🛞🛞🛞 UPDATE ON Steve Jelf 🛞🛞🛞🛞
Sorry I've been missing in action with this vertigo for 3 weeks, but it's all sorted out now and I'm fine.
Spoke with Steve on the phone just now and his voice sounds very strong. However, he mentioned some things that gave me the impression that there are still some wires crossed "up there" in which I did my best to line him out and alleviate his worries.
I explained to him that during the recovery time from a brain injury, the mind can tell one some pretty tall tales and the best thing one can do is talk to someone about them.
I suspect, with a highly intellectual mind like Steve's, just sitting around and "thinking" a LOT can take a person into many Rabbit Holes. He agreed that he'll talk to a doc about this.
I feel that I'll need to get back into the habit of calling him daily (hopefully) so that I can re-Mind him of his most important objectives - like getting stronger and doing things to re-map his brain as it heals - and not dwell on thoughts that plague him.
Steve's still just cruising in his wheelchair at this time and only walking when in PT with safety apparatus. He enjoys watching other patients doing their PT and cheers them on.
All in all, a pretty good chat. Please keep wishing him well. ❤
