So yesterday I took the brave step and entrusted my Model T in the hands of my sister, Zoe. This is technically only the second time she's driven it, and a few reminder pointers were needed! I'm pleased to say everything went well, she did great, and I captured it all on video... enjoy!

Just watched it Mitch. You weren't shaking too bad.

Driving a T at first can be a challenge for some, add to that for her the wheel is on the left side!

The only place I have been where they drive on the left is in England. I took the underground or the bus or railroad, so didn't have to drive! She did fine, however she is used to driving on the left. Only a bit hard to learn the pedals and also to drive with steering wheel on the left. She did a very good job for the first time out.

I thought you folks down under had to crank the engine counter-clockwise. (that means to the left)

I think that is anti-clockwise.

Great video! I loved the period-correct music.
I have driven on the left in Ireland. Driving on the left wasn't a problem, but driving clockwise around the rotaries - er - roundabouts, is just plain wrong.

Most enjoyable video. Zoe is a good learner

But I was tensed up during the entire video - steering wheel on the correct side but traffic passing on the right

Oh so we're starting that debate now are we?
You Americans drive on the wrong side of the road
Thanks for the reply though

Zoe picked up on the driving technique fairly quickly, considering how different it is to a modern car.

Actually, in Australia they drive on the right, but since they are hanging upside down it appears to be on the left.

Mitch do you have a cutout or voltage regulator on your generator? I thought that was a great Video & as others said I was a bit tense watching it. Not sure why but definitely felt the twinge in the nether regions while watching the road ha

Mine has a modern regulator concealed inside a cut out housing, complete with the Ford script, so nobody will ever know

I thought so, I noticed while watching your sister drive that the ammeter wasn’t showing a discharge or charge.
Thanks for the reply. Best John
