I have two if these lights I am going to use for brake and turn signals, lens is about 3-3/4 diameter. I see at Langs they have a red lenses for this and say they are for a 1915-27, is there a bracket for this lights for a 1927 Touring or do you just use the bracket from Langs part 3660TL

They are not appropriate for a 27. Your lights should be electric. There is a repop brackets available for left & right sides.(they fender mount)
Frankly, those earlier lamps wouldn't look right at all. Your choice.

Bruce,

For the 1926/27 NON electric car you should need these brackets and lights.
I used them to install stop and flasher lights on my touring.
Pay attention the original tail light has the big lens clear glass and the small lens red.
On the back of this lamp you should find MODEL O.

Good luck

I would assume that they will be electrified. I think it would be a bit of a challenge to have gas directional and brake lights.

John, those are kerosine side lights, not gas. Even harder to get a blinking flame from them. Perhaps some kind of shutter device would suffice. :D
Andre, our Canadian sourced cars had large red lenses to the rear and small clear lenses to the side. I wonder why yours are the reverse?

It sounds silly, but it was to put enough light on the license plate to read it at night, and still have a valid taillight that was visible to the rear... the easiest way was to make the big window (with the door) clear and aim it towards the plate, and make the former clear window red and aim it backwards as the tail light.

Good morning all,

In the Model T Times 363 from September October 2009 there is a fine article about the early 1926 "Unequipped" Runabout.
The photos in the artickle shows the tail and the side light and the brackets. an a special dash switch with no amp-meter.
The car in the article was the 2009 Stynoski winner.
