Can anyone ID this head?
Any pros and cons or other words of wisdom?
Thanks in advance.

I would guess it’s a late Reeder head or a modern (70s) copy of a Reeder head? Does it have “ REEDER” cast just inside the water opening hole?

Not sure, I did not look there and I'm not sure I can find out unless I just purchase it.

Parker was another maker of that style, and yes that design gives trouble, the 2 water ports between 2 & 3 are far too big and prone to warp and blow gaskets, the larger port needs to be welded shut by someone who knows what he is doing and re-decked and the aluminium re tempered.

My Reeder head did just that Frank, as did another I know of in New Zealand. Once the big hole was closed up, I never had any more problems.

That's a Reeder head. I've run them for years.

I am going to pick up this head Friday and will check for the marking at the outlet and post pics.
Thanks to all for the info and for the smack up side the head reminder to look into the water outlet !
