I am measuring 1” toe out, not real scientific yet, but I can’t be too far off. I have no idea how that could have been intentional. The car was partially restored in the 80’s by my father, then sat in one warehouse or the other for 30 years.
The tie rod end, passenger side, feels to be flush with the tie rod, so maybe there is enough thread to adjust properly?
I’ve rebuilt the steering box, replaced the pitman arm etc, but never thought to check the toe. The car still wanders a bit, but not too bad. The tires have maybe 20-30 miles and don’t seem to show any scuff. Am I missing something?

First Sonny, you don't want toe out, this will contribute to wandering.
Rather 1/8"-1/4" toe in is preferred.
This should help, as long as everything else is not worn excessively.

Recently I took my 1923 touring for its first drive since front end repair following the unfortunate incident that put it n the ditch. I had to keep a tight grip on the steering wheel and drive slow, as it wanted to wander all over the road. When I got home I checked alignment and found ¼" tow out. That little bit of wrong adjustment sure makes for some hard driving.
