I’ve had several sets of the Excelsior’s on the speedster over the years. They used to be made in India, looked nice and performed well. The last pair I bought was bout 6-8 years ago, mold quality was fair and balance is noticeably worse. I kept buying Excelsiors purely due to cosmetics on an open wheeled car, I’ll most likely be ordering Blockley’s next time…

Hi Philip,
I run the Lucas tires on my speedster. I have found them to be rather soft & wear faster than I would like. Had one go out of balance ( as in it
had no issue @ the start of a event but did @ the end ) This may not be a issue for many because many dont drive over 45 mph which is where
the issue showed up. The next tires I purchased where the Excelsiors that Coker makes. I purchased them from Jeg's they seem to be of a
higher dorameter than the Lucas but have not mounted & run them yet. Jeg's is the $106 tires & they will ship orders over $200 for free but
there is a oversize charge thats not too bad. Their tube price is not bad either.
Craig.

106 is too expensive?

I posted on another thread of the 450 475 21 would be good replacements for 4.50/4.50 - 21. Does anyone know?

Yes, decent price of correct tubes from JEGs, but unavailable until March...maybe.

I presume the "too expensive" refers to US made Goodyears. Good luck with the cheap stuff.

Unmounted they seem to be the same Diameter, the Exselciors are a wider flatter tread. I remember the tires I purchased from Jegs took 6-7
weeks to arrive but did come sooner than the original delivery date I was given. The tubes showed up in a week or so. Welcome to the worlds
largest catalog store & post Covid sierra hotel india tango show.
