Hi fellas! I'm brand new to these forums. While I don't have a Model T, I have been finding some parts while out metal detecting. Unfortunately I threw away some stuff that I later found out were model T parts. I have been able to identify some other parts thru this forum and other searches on the web. I'm hoping some of you guys will be gracious enough to help me out be identifying some of the things I have found that I can't ID. I figured out a brass top coil today. I've also dug valve stem dust covers, valve stems, hub caps, points and I found a key right with 11 Model T keys on it, 9 of them different. I'm sure the place I am digging was a garage/gas station. Anyway, I threw away 5 or 6 of these before the light bulb went off and I decided they might be something? LOL. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance for any help you may offer. Randy

Randy I love a good mystery and I know I've seen something like those some where but can't exactly remember. They look like parts off a type of quick release buckle I used to use in the 70s. I can't remember what they were on but I think it was a type of military buckle.

Thanks Jim. I know what you mean and it could be, I just don't know. They were all found in the area of all the Model T stuff though, that's why I thought they may have come from one.

They look like the "time dogs" that lock into a timer that is used to turn lights off and on. You place them next to the hour you want the lights to come on and next to the time you want them to go off they rotate and hit a small switch turning lights on and off. Timers for lawn sprinklers use them too.
