1912 fan painting

Post by Mark Gregush » Wed May 29, 2019 1:26 am

Not including the bracket, what parts of the 1912 fan pulley assembly was painted? Just the blades or both the blades and pulley?
Thanks
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Both blades and pulleys from early cars I've seen.

To my knowledge, only the blades were painted. I'm sure the blades were painted before they were riveted to the hub.

Comon, On a '12 if it's brass it can't be painted!!! LOL

Good Question, Of course the pulley area be showing brass with a belt running. I'd probably go with black paint on the rest.

Thanks everyone. My plan, split the difference. Everything but the pulley area where the belt rides will be black.
