Dear Mr. Booth.

I see that you’re asking for your account to be deleted. I’m sure it’s for good personal reasons, but I ask you to reconsider.

Who am I? I’m one of the people who would like to own a Model T, but can’t right now, (or as it’s looking, may never be able to).

I’ve just scrolled thru your 1916 center door thread for the 5th or 6th time. Such talent and care, in my opinion, should remain for everybody to see. It’s inspiring. It gives hope to the people who might dare to tackle a job they otherwise would see as insurmountable.

Whatever is going on, please give it some time - even if you give the forum a break for a while. I’m asking for people like me. I’m asking for those that are lucky enough to have a model T. But mostly, I’m asking for me.

Whatever you end up doing, thanks for all of your efforts and for sharing it with us.

Thanks for the kind words guys but if I can't post pictures then there is no sense of having an account that someone could hack and pose as me.

Don, there are many of us here, including myself, who would be happy to help you overcome your photo posting difficulties. What's the problem? How can we help?

I'll add, that if not for Don's presence here, my life would be very different. 12 years ago he posted the progress of his Fordor restoration. I half-jokingly asked when I could drop ours off with him. He quickly replied, and i drove from Grayling to Bay City on Christmas day. Dad had bought the 27 Fordor for $150.00 in 1960. 5 years before I was born. It sat in the back room of his auto repair business for decades. Our whole family dreamed of getting it restored. Don took on the body reconstruction, paint, and interior. The second one he's done. This is the car that made me decide to learn auto repair. A business I've been in for over 40 years. I can't describe how wonderful it is to have this car , and be involved with the hobby. I've made some great friends over this car!

Had I known you had photo posting problems, I could have stopped in last week and noodled it with you. I went up on a very nice day mid March to read my mother’s letter to the property tax tribunal. Sue made me stop for cheese on the way home so we were very close to you.

Don i certainly hope it can worked out you have been a tremendous help in my 26 fordor we talk frequently so you know who I am your work is too fine to not have people be able to see it.

I have noticed quite a few people in recent months complaining about not being able to post photos here. I have no idea what the problem is or where it lies. I haven't posted a lot of photos for several years myself, for a different issue. I have never had much trouble on this forum for many years posting photos if the photo is on my computer. I used to have a couple of digital cameras that were simple and intelligently designed to download the photos onto my computer, but then the cameras aged out and died.
My new digital cameras were designed by the super Mario brothers. Seriously, downloading the photos onto my computer is a game of hide and seek! The automated program built into the camera does not ask where I want my photos and hides them anywhere and everywhere, in folders of any type. I have found my photos in word processing folders as well as folders for unrelated types of photos. I have downloaded dozens of photos that I have never found.
So for several years now, basically the only photos I ever share back onto this forum are the photos I harvested from this forum. There is NOBODY in my family that is able and willing to be helpful. All that leaves me in a place where I cannot be helpful here myself.

Don B, if you look and see this? I wish I could help. I always enjoy what you have shared in the past, and wonder how things and projects are going for you now. You have made tremendous contributions to this forum and the hobby in the past. I wish for only the best for you in the future regardless what becomes of this current issue.

Sorry to hear about your frustration with posting photos. I have a learned a lot from you . I have a 1926 fordoor which I am starting to do body work on and I used your Rust bullet recommendation on a couple of doors so far. They will need to have some body filler for pitting issues.after that what type of hi build primer would you recommend. Also I need to roll it on since I don’t have a gun or large enough compressor. I know this will probably require more sanding but I don’t mind that .so I hope you still use the forum because newbies like me depend on you
