Getting back after the roadster and mocking up the seat back and hip panels from Classtique. Is there a certain/preferred height, either above/even/below the top of the back of the seat bucket where the backrest should hang? Also, should there be some added padding to the hip panel armrest top?

If you got your upholstery from Classtique I would call them for advice. I’m sure they could give you a good answer.

Check out this video from Classtique. See how the top of the spring pack is about level, or maybe just a bit below the top of the tack rail. That way, when the burlap gets pulled taut, it creates a flat "floor" for the cotton padding to sit on.

Yup, I saw that, so I was at least trying to keep the corners level with the tub…thanks!

Rob, another upholstery resource for you to check out-"One Who Collects" on youtube. He does the interior and top on a 25 runabout. Interesting tip he provides is attaching fabric with hogrings into the open top area of the backrest spring to create that table spot to support the padding during installation. Lots of other tips in the video as well.

I believe I’ve looked at that, referring to the burlap first layer! I think Classtique mentions that as well….in order for the batting to not fall down into the springs.
Thanks!
