I can’t take credit for this idea. I saw a picture of it on another non Model T site and I really liked the idea.

Like most T owners, I like to keep a few spare parts under the rear seat of my touring. Spare parts aren’t any good if they are all beat up from bouncing around under your seat.

Harbor Freight sells nice hard plastic cases with foam inserts. This size is currently on sale for about $22. All of the my spares fit just right!

Ha! Great idea and to me the contrast between the outside and what is inside is funny...

Gun cases work great, so any store that sells guns. I did the same for my ECCT with 2 extra coils in the case.

Side note - don't put them in the foam and forget them - I had a couple firearms I did that to, opened the case after a few years (OK, more than a few), and the foam had decomposed all over these formerly fine firearms...

Another option along the same lines would be to get upholstery or pillow foam from the local fabric or hobby shop and make your own inserts into a vintage tool box or small wooden box. Not as much contrast between the exterior and interior of the box that way.

If you wish to store Model T Coils, Harbor Freight sells a .30 Caliber Plastic Ammo Box with lid #63135 for $5.99 that will hold 4 coils with cardboard spacers between them snuggly. I have one for each of my cars. I hope this will help get you down the road when a coils malfunctions. Have a great day.

An old brief case makes a good toolbox also. I carry one in my modern car and keep standard and metric tools in it and have called on it many times for more than auto repairs.
