Band lining identification

These bands were in with a bunch of spare parts and have no box or brand on them. They are a fairly ridged unlike the cotton or Scandinavian bands I have dealt with. Does anyone know what type of material they are?

Kevlar? But new Kevlar is yellow. I’d guess used Kevlar if there were rivet holes.

The weave is far coarser than any kevlar bands I have seen, and loose fibres like they show is also new to me. A flame test might help to identify them, or not.

Looks like it could be for the 26-27 installation, with the wider brake band. Depending on where and how these bands were stored would contribute to what they look like now.

Back in the late 60's - early 70's, there was a "fad" of using fork lift/heavy equipment clutch material for T band lining - way too hard in my opinion ! I've driven with them and removed them from folks' cars - pretty tough on drums !
