Is this a T bracket and what body style would it be designed for? It appears to be the 1915 design but mounted under the body . The light is mounted upside down . Thanks

I also have one of those - I believe it was an aftermarket bracket available for independent body makers.

Believe its the '15 two piece bracket for the touring car.
Missing the license plate arm, these early ones used a bolt and nut to hold the license arm to the bracket..
Photos from unrestored early '15 touring body only.

Not a Touring - look at the photos again Dan. These are close to an eight inch drop BELOW the body line.

Discussions in the past generally conclude that this particular variation was intended for and mostly used on commercial type bodies. Although pattered after the '15 style tail lamp bracket, I believe these were marketed well into the early '20s, and probably a bit later. They were often used on trucks without the license plate pieces attached, but could have the plate bracket bolted on if so desired.
I did see a heavily lowered speedster with those to raise the tail lamp. (But I didn't think it looked that good there?)
