Increased Horse Power

I just finished rebuilding my '26 engine for my Coupe. My son and I used the Gene French line boring
jig and poured our own babbitt. At the advice of a friend, I used a Prus aluminum head and one of his new .280 cam shafts.
We dropped the engine into the car over the weekend and got it running. Immediately sounded different than the old
tired engine that I took out. Took it out for a test drive and what a difference. All the hills
that I could not make it up before, without having to go back to low speed to finish the climb,
are now being driven with no trouble. One that I would have trouble with just barely getting
over was done at 25mph. Being a new engine I kept it around 30 - 35 mph for the test.
It has amazing acceleration and I am sure 40+ will not be a problem although I love driving at 35. He also told me that
it will get better over time once I get about 500 miles on it. I would highly recommend his products and
he was always quick to answer any of my questions.
