I still haven’t done the autopsy on my transmission, but here are a couple photos to show the rest of it turned out ok.

The words "beautiful work" just don't do it justice. Great job! Hopefully, you can park it in your front room for a while.

No John, I’ve been admiring it for 8 years of this restoration. I intend to drive the heck out of it.

A long time ago, Vic Sala and Clem Sala (brothers) both had Mercury roadsters. One of them was red and looked a lot like this one! I look at pictures of yours now and they bring back some wonderful memories.

What a magnificent looking car. An absolute credit to you. I love the way you have assembled the hood.
Amazing that there are currently 2 other Mercury projects for sale which I think would be great projects. If only they were in Australia!

Thanks Warwick. Either one of the Mercury projects for sale would be a great start. You would already have half the value in wheels and cylinder heads.

That car is incredible! Thanks for bringing us along, and I bet 8 years seems like half a day once you start driving it! Did you have any parts plated yourself and what are the switches on the drivers side panel all doing? “The hot-rod bro’s would say “Dude! That thing is bitchin’!” Congratulations sir, and happy driving….Chris, in Boulder

Ha! Took me a second Chris. The “switches” are refrigerator magnets that I used to hold templates in place while making the dash. I guess I better get them back to the fridge.
