Anyone have a Fun Projects brake light assembly they'd like to sell? PM me if you have one you may not need anymore!
Thanks

I made mine. the store-bought part was Ace Hardware's least expensive pushbutton switch. The rest was all stuff I had on hand. I doubt the total cost was over ten bucks. It ain't rocket surgery.

Hey Tom... Any luck in obtaining that brake switch?... I'm sorry I don't have one for sale but I do have one on my 26. And it works just fine. ..... Too bad, the one who bought Mr. Regan's business is not producing this switch anymore .

Not much action here. Hasn't anybody else made their own? If I could do it, just about anybody can.

Here’s a super simple brake light switch. As Steve says it ain’t rocket science. This is Lang’s version. https://www.modeltford.com/item/3158RS.aspx https://www.modeltford.com/item/3158RS.aspx

I gather Lang's switch is pushbutton. That is simple and clever, and I bet it lasts a long time.

I had one of those on my former '15.
While it worked it was horribly difficult to keep adjusted so as to just be able to tap the brake pedal to engage the light and NOT the brake. Fun Projects is excellent at being able to achieve that. I have the FP switch on both my current T's.

I have a Regan design brake switch, which works well. It involves a lever to actuate a push switch. If I was to make a brake switch, I would consider a pull type switch in order to eliminate the lever. Normally off, and on when pulled, type switches are hard to find, but are available.

I have a Lang's # 3158RS brake light switch I used for 6 months before I converted to disk brakes which had a pressure type switch included. PM me and for $20 I'd mail it to you, lower 48 only.

Why doesn't someone remake those crappy Chinese switches and put a workable unit inside?

Snyder's catalog currently has the Ford style Bendix can switches available the say "Made in the USA" Larry - I installed one on a friend's T and it was O.K.

You mean you actually found a Fun Projects switch? I sure hope so, cause they're the best! If you did, wonder where ya
got it from? I wouldn't mind one just to have for spare parts or if I ever get yet another T!!

I believe Larry was referring to the copy of the clamp-on style for the Bendix can - Snyder's now carries USA made ones - way better than the previous ones.

Here’s a FP switch new that has not been installed
The switch is a 60 amp push button w/hex mounting nut and a rubber bulb seal ring.

Before I found this one I contacted Bird Haven several times, they had everything except the 60 amp push button switch. Supply issues….
