Tool box woes, keyless

When you have two nearly identical Yale lock tool boxes for your Model T and no key it is time to man up and do something about the key shortage. Relying on minimal knowledge gained some 50 years ago in a mail order locksmith course taken during a cold winter, I have achieved success and now have working keys for my tool boxes. One has been made from an original set Ford coil points and another from a Yale key blank to match the Yale lock.
Anyone else need a key??

Jack,
After the rebuilt engines you have done for me, I shouldn't be surprised you are truly a "Jack of all Trades." Sorry for the bad joke but my best to Ms. Marilyn.
Have agreat day,
Don

Due to the copper rivets, I presume you removed the main body of the lock from the box.
If that is the case, did you notice if there was a number stamped on the back of the lock?
If there was a number, I believe that is the key number.

The only thing on the back of the lock was much rust as was the inside. I found no numbers.

I hope your car runs OK now that I see you are down to three coils. Hopefully that key works great now that the coil is kaput.
