I am looking for information on this 'County Fair Racer'. It was registered to Paul Larson and I have a picture of him driving it in front of the Model T Museum back in 2008. I realize he has passed, so I am looking to connect with family or friends to get some of the history.

Thank you,

Adam

BTT. I am going to bump this once to see if anyone has any information or a contact to a family member that might be able to help me out.

Thanks

This was one of Paul Larsens many unique projects. He built a fair number of these bodies using an original body period body he had found and copied. I upholstered many of them for him. In 2004-2005 he built several in advance of the 2005 MTFCI tour in Clear Lake Iowa which he hosted. Some were raffled of as fundraisers and i think your car might be one pf them. The grand example he built for this purpose was a complete version with an all brass body that was also raffled off at the tour. It now resides at the speedway motors museum in Lincoln Nebraska. It is a striking car and was featured on a poster published during the same time frame. Pauls lasting legacy includes the manifold cookers he reproduced and many of us still use to this day. Paul was a great promoter and his 1994 MTFCI tour in Clear Lake was the high water mark for t tour attendance with 394 cars. It was the first tour we attended. Been doing them ever since.

Thank you for the information. I wonder if this was the original body that he used for patterning his other ones. It has bumps, bruises, rust holes and patches. This body has been around for a long time, nothing that was reproduced in the last 30-40 years.

Thanks again,

Adam

Neat car. What’s the deal with those wheels?

Not sure. The cut outs are the model T ford wings. They can be seen better from the back side. The silver piece is 1/4" steel. My thinking is the wheel was made and there wasn't enough side support so the 1/4" steel was added. I wish the steel was larger and on the backside so the wings would show. I know that is easy to do but not sure if I want to change how Mr. Larson did it.

It appears your body could have been the real deal. Thanks for sharing.
