This is one of the last things to fix before I drive my T. The belt seems to run near front edge of engiine pulley .

Original engine pulley, rebuilt original fan pulley, and new repro fan.

Judging from the picture, I wouldn’t worry about it. You could place a washer between cam cover and fan bracket. Thatll place fan blades a mite closer to radiator fins. As long as your belt isn’t thrown, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Pulleys should have a center high spot purposely to have the belt run in the center of the pulley

How is the bushing or bearing in the fan ? If it is worn it could cause a tilt in the pulley.

I have had to put a thin washer on a couple of my cars to move the belt to the middle.

Thanks for the ideas. The fan his the belt and shreds the edge while making a racket. The fan hub has new bushings. I may try washers.

Turn the belt around. Will it run against the rear of the pulley? It's a cheap test.

I just installed one of those new fan blades myself. They seem to have a greater pitch than originals. In my case, it hit the water pump pulley, (yes, I know, I deserve it...). The fix was easy. I gently bent the blades forward, away from the pump pulley. They bent surprisingly easy and only needed to move about 1/4". Give it a try.

If all else fails, I've got one of those aftermarket accessories that bolt on and keep the belt on the pulley. I posted a pic and a help ID part on this fourm if it helps solve a problem.

Installing a thicker spacer that was used on the 26-27 with a three row radiator Will bring the fan closer to the radiator. Maybe a little more than a half inch.

Jerry has spotted it. That fan has way more twist in the blades than usual. I'd be looking for an original one. Putting a spacer washer between the fan arm and the timing cover will not alter the relationship of the fan to the belt.

If the belt runs on the front of the pulley, most likely the fan arm is bent down a bit at the front. Don't try bending it on the engine, putting the timing cover at risk of being broken. Set the arm up in a vice at the angle it runs on the car, fit a big crescent wrench over the threaded boss and heave away.
You may need to make adjustments as you go

Jerry thanks a lot. I thought the new blades had a lot of pitch and also the old fan did not hit. I did not keep old fan to. compare. It was cracked
