Fantastic! Wonder why there hasn't been more chatter on the boards? Maybe production hasn't ramped up enough to really get the word out yet. Any idea on price?

I paid $475 for the brakes, AC pedal and longer bolts needed to attach the brakes to the drum.

Dan was at the Chickasha Swap Meet this year and had a good display of the AC brakes. He talked about several improvements he was making to the tooling he got from Larry Sidmore's estate that will improve the consistency of the manufactured product. Very knowledgeable guy and he is doing great work!

I've read that working in reverse is an advantage they have over Rockies.

They are only made for the small drums, Daniel told me that he can't make them for the large drums because of how the backing plates are bolted on.

The AC brakes work in reverse but they are not self actuating.

The current Rocky Mountain brakes are essentially AC brakes.

I think it has more to do with weight transfer than anything but I feel my A-C brakes work better in reverse than they do foreword. The ancor point is in the middle so half of the shoe self energized foreword & half self energize in reverse.
