A few months ago there was an early frame for sale in the classifieds. I had no interest in another project but when the price was attractive enough I bought it. I already had a front and rear axle I found at an estate sale, so I thought what the heck, I might as well see if I can put together a rolling 13 chassis. You have probably seen my want ads over the last few months and with the help of these fine gentleman either selling, finding, hauling and in one case donating parts, it is up and rolling. So a big shout out to: Joe Bell, Pat Brannigan, Ed Fuller, Mike Leonard, George House, Steve Tomaso, Greg Jones, Stephen Bowers, Gary Hussar, Larry DeBaugh and especially Herb de La Porte for saving the day. This club has no shortage of great people willing to lend a hand in anyway they can. So here is what they helped put together. Thanks again.

Now you just need a firewall and radiator and you can get her running!!

There is a multitude of extra holes in the side of the right frame member at the front. Did the frame have something extra added at some time?

I envy you guys having no pedals to navigate around when fitting the exhaust pipe. Much simpler than the pipe we have to use on RHD cars.

My Brother Mike picked that engine up on a farm near Ellsworth Wisconsin, He would be pleased to have seen it go to a good home and soon to be running.

Wonderful results from a near afterthought Tom. You are truly a visionary and I’m glad to have played a very small part. Mebbe a trip to Ray Wells might be in your future.

I don’t know the history of the 111 year old frame, but there are extra holes. Has a crack at the motor mount and had a plate welded over it that I removed. I haven’t been able to find the rear casting for a 11-14 muffler, but when I do I will correct that. My goal was to assemble a chassis, not restore it. It has been a fun challenge without the headache of serious money and untold hours of work. If I don’t do anything with it, it will be a good start for the next guy.

Tom - the "correct" - (depending on time frame) '13 muffler ends would have had 2 separate pressed steel mounts front & back rather than cast in the ends.

When I saw the extra holes either side of the pan mounting I thought that it may have had a riveted-in gusset to repair a break in the frame. Welding it in leaves the reason for the holes unexplained. What stories some of our T's might tell us.
