My first encounter with a model T was in 1969 when My new wife and I visited Her Uncle Frances in Prattville Alabama and he gave us a ride in His unrestored 1916 touring with running board box full of tools. In retirement He moved to Orlando Florida and much to His regret had His prize 1916 rebuilt which He had owned for over fifty years. It was rebuilt with red spoke wheels and red upholstery. tools went missing during rebuild. When He passed Car was sold in Florida in the late 1980s or early to mid nineties. I would like to find this car and owner and a learn a little about the cars history after He sold it. If they kept the red spoke wheels and upholstery or returned it to stock. weather it had a starter or not. I remember it had speedometer I tried to repair and broke the pewter bracket where gear wheel and cable assembly attaches to the front spindle. He was not too happy about that. Please take a close look at the photo and see if You may have seen it.

If the new owner was into authenticity of the year model, not only the color of the wheels but the wheels themselves would have been changed, they are later T wheels.

I got a hunch that new owner was the one who made the incorrect "adjustments"

If there is any way on finding the person who bought the car after your uncle that could be a chance on where it went from there. If it still had the red wheels and upholstery that would be a clue for someone if they saw it. Red wheels is one thing but the red upholstery is another. Good luck on finding the car but it might not be easy after this many years. I don’t know anything about Florida and how far they go back concerning its auto records concerning car purchases.

Thanks Richard for photo rotation. Photo shows Wife's Uncle after restoration ? driving the car. It seems to have the larger brake drums. 26 /27 I don't know the year of the wheels. I doubt he would have had them changed. tool box and carrier were not repainted which seems odd. Its a pig in a poke long shot that someone still with us will remember it. But You never know. Thanks to all for the input.
