Grounded: Bummer.

Post by Steve Jelf » Tue Sep 03, 2024 10:18 pm

I was going to drive modern to the Old Car Festival but fate intervened. Yesterday I hit a curb that flattened two tires and bent the wheels. After a night in the hospital for observation, I'm home now. The docs think dehydration combined with too much blood pressure medicine and affected my driving. I will miss seeing old cars and old friends, but this gives me something to aim for next year. Drive 'em if ya got 'em, and don't hit anything.

Good luck and follow doctor's orders!

Steve, there is a good side to your predicament. If you were here, given your recent accident, your medications and your age, The doctor would be obliged to lodge a report on your consultation to the licensing authorities, and that could mean, at best, a temporary suspension of your driving license. A known local doctor is your best friend in these circumstances. Keep up your positive outlook. It will serve you well.

Bummer.... I was hoping to say hello to you at the OCF and congratulate you for your Phoenix-like recovery after last year's accident while enroute. You gave everybody quite a scare and many people are heartened by the progress that you've made, myself included. Until next year. :D

Well, darn. Vanessa cleaned Ry's room and had it ready for you. ;) I'll be batch-in' it up this weekend, she and Duke will be up north and Ry's at school.

I'll party extra hard while I'm there in your honor. :)

We'll miss you (again) and cross our fingers for next year!

Well I won't see you at OCF because I can't go. I won't see you at my place because you won't be there. That is a bummer Steve.
