If our '21 Touring doesn't sell in another week or two I want to install the new top we have. We've had the car almost 8 years. I have watched videos and read articles on how to. I will have some help available.

Thom,
I did the top on my 1919 touring and its not a bad job. You will feel good about it. Have your grandsons do it with you.

The foundation of a well fitted top is the the set-up of the top bows. Pay strict attention to getting them set correctly. I hold them in position with thin timber laths. Two from the back bow don to the back of the car. and two longer ones, tacked to the underside of the bows from the back bow to the front. Once they are set. fitting the top is much easier.

I agree. I've done two tops, on a 15 and my 13. Keep the material out in the sun for as long as you can prior to the "fit up", or even do the whole thing out in the sun if you can tolerate the heat! Mine came with generous material in which to make the final trimming, biggest thing was getting it all "squared up" on the otherwise not perfect bows. Came out alright.
