What Schraeder valve stems would be used on the ‘26-‘27 wire wheel tubes?

I would go with something around 2" long.

In case you want to buy new, the valve stems for ‘28-9 fModel A fit perfectly.

The correct stems for Model T before 1926 are Schrader #777. I haven't studied 26-27, but I would guess they are the same. I'm not good enough with Google to know the actual diameter of Snyder's 28-29 Model A stems. The major thread size for a #724 stem is 0.482-26. For a #777 stem, it is 0.406-28. I have not found the 777 size used on ANY modern tube. All the modern metal stem tubes I've seen have the wider #724 size. All the repop covers I've seen are made to fit #724, not the narrower #777. Original covers are easier to find in the #724 size, so the stems I use are #724 and #725 (same diameter as #724 but a little longer).

To answer the O.P.s question: Schrader 888.

This is the correct valve stem for a Ford welded wire wheel.

I use 888's in all of my cars. A little lighter than a 777. Keep in mind, Dill and Bridgeport also made these, but have different numbers. The TR number is the same.
